Default Nova Viking 16" DVR Benchtop Drill Press

Well, as gear goes this is one of the best IMHO. I used to hate, with a passion, using all of the drill presses I've had because of the inaccuracy that the runout produces, sloppy slop slop from slop town.

This piece ....... I have tried and tried to measure some, any amount, of run out on this machine and there is zero. Statistically if it does have any then it is beyond the accuracy with which I can measure and that is, with sufficient redundancy, 5 one hundredths of a millimeter. It's a pleasure to use, the auto start & stop, the depth stop and reverse out .... it's all good.

The following is a link to the Carbatec site that has the specs and a couple of videos including the mortise setup.

This next link is to a video that demonstrates the drill and tapping feature.

    The sale also includes the following;

    Set of small sanding drums
Complete array of hole saws (3 sets) from small to # huge (200mm IIRC).
    Two sets of forstner bits.
Tap & Die set (IIRC 2mm to 10mm).
Set of unused Cobalt drill bits and used HSS bits.
    Mortise attachment.
Set of mortise bits & chisels.
    Tilting vice.
    Lube oil for steel work.
    Update cable.
    User manual.
The small table it sits on, which is very solid, until you make something better

FFIW this machine is less than 12 months old and still has a tiny bit of warranty left, 24th of May.

The machine on it's own has a replacement cost of $1849. How much you'd pay for all of the other stuff that's there, who knows, the Cobalt bits are probably about $100 as is the tilting vice.

Asking $1600 ono, pickup Wolvi QLD.

I can deliver for a small additional cost, unless you're miles away or interstate, in which case it'll be heaps.

This drill is a life changer! Absolutely superb bit of kit!

Couldn't recommend it high enough. Bloody good bargain with all the extras, my cobalt set cost me $125 at the time!

    I'll offer $1400 pickup
I can understand how you would see that as an attractive offer, truly, I do get that. I, on the other hand, regard $1600 pickup to be a far more rewarding outcome, unsurprisingly.

And when you actually drop that handle, you will realise, yeah, that is a whole world of $1600 goodness, and it was worth that $200.

Just another $200 and you can let rip ........ I'll take it .......
