Default Question about selling a lot of woodworking stuff

    Hi -

I'm in north-east Melbourne and have a fairly comprehensive beginner's setup - power tools, some hand tools e.g. hand saws etc. Due to personal circumstances I need to get rid of it all. It is pretty much all near-new and hardly used. All purchased from local stores like Carbatec, Bunnings, Total Tools, etc.

There's way too much to list in one forum post and I've documented it all in a Google Sheet (which I will share, if allowed).

Would that be an acceptable way of documenting everything I have for sale? That method allows me to add lots of descriptions & details that would be cumbersome to list in a forum post.

I'm new to this forum and don't want to break the rules so thought I'd ask first.

    Thanks

As far as I’m aware that should be ok, better than 20 different listings or similar. Admin will confirm or deny but I think it fair.

If I was doing this I would break it down into easily managed packages.

One: Select 6 to 12 related items - eg saws, chisels, even paring chisels,
Two: Clean those selected items very well,
Three: Take really good photographs of that cleaned selection. The photos are your main selling tool,
Four: Advertise with photos and price in Market Place,
Five: Deal with responses - queries and sales and shipments.

Select another cohort of items, repeat above steps with a separate thread.

Do not make any one thread too long or too complex as it confuses the little grey cells, mine at least.
