    Default Stanley 45

    $95.00 plus postage $16.00

This is an early model Stanley 45 Combination plane. Going by the Blood & Gore site, not the earliest one, as that had black japaning. This one is nickel plated with the floral motifs and the shape of the cam rest makes it an earlier version though.

As far as I can see it may be missing two stop gauges No 77# & 73# according to the blood & Gore site. http://www.supertool.com/StanleyBG/stan45explode.htm Although I'm not sure that these weren't just optional accessories. I'm happy to be corrected by the knowledgeable ones. It has two stop gauges already.

Ok, so this is awkward and it’s entirely my fault. After Black_Dog’s initial enquiry, I sent him my banking details and had heard nothing further, so assumed that his interest had dropped off. In the mean time (after my second post), ARealBoy has posted an “I’ll Take It” as per the forum rules. However, Black_Dog had already sent me the money yesterday.

It is now officially complicated. So my apologies to ARealBoy for the stuffup that I initiated by my not adhering to the forum rules. They’re there for a reason.

I don’t feel so bad about retracting my offer now, as I would not have won it anyway

The Stanley 4 arrived TT. Thanks for the present taped to the box. You are an honourable man

To be fair BD you're new to the forum and rules and such can get overlooked. It was really my responsibility to police my post. I hope you and ARB have better experiences with this forum in the future. There is some really good stuff here.
