Stanley No 45 combination plane
---
I'm selling some items on behalf of the Aldgate Men's Shed that were donated to us and are surplus to our requirements. Offering here first before selling on Gumtree/eBay.
I will be listing various other items here for them over the coming weeks.
Thanks for looking.
This listing is for a Stanley No 45 combination plane. Includes 12 blades (listed below). Yes, it's a long way from its better days, but someone might like to take it on as a project. As far as I can see the only bit that is missing is the outboard knob. The blades all have a lot of life left in them and the small slitter still has some meat on several spurs, as shown.
Someone has given some parts of the plane a coat of silver frost at some stage, but they don't appear to have done any damage. It came to us in the original wooden finger joint box, not that you would recognise it, there being no labels left on it and in quite bad condition. A pity the lid went missing a long time ago otherwise the plane might have travelled a bit better. Your welcome to the box but that will add about an extra $3 to the postage.
From what I can see everything is working on it (other than the missing knob), so could be a user quite quickly, but will need a lot of TLC to bring it up to resell for the big bucks being asked on ePay... Although, the parts are probably worth more than our asking price...
Asking price is $70. Postage/shipping is at your cost by your preferred shipping method. Items are located in the Adelaide Hills (Postcode 5152). The weight is 2.5kg unpacked and about 3.5kg in the original box with dimensions 31 x 15 x 16cm. A guestimate of the cost of postage to (say) Sydney is $15 in cardboard box and $18 in original wooden box. Use the AusPost website to calculate to you.
