Stanley No.55 Universal Plane - 99% complete
Evening all.
Somehow I have managed to end up with 3 Stanley 55's and feel the need to part with at least one of them..
Currently listed on ebay with bids starting at $500 and had several offers this week but just a little light on. I am ideally looking for similar but would be negotiable for the fair and decent folk on the forum.
Feel free to reach out if you're interested as I can provide more photos etc if needed. If the price is right I may even rob the missing parts from my other 55 and attempt to replace them over time...
Below is from the ebay advert...
Excellent Condition with 90-95% of the original nickel plating. 4 boxes of cutters with a total of 54 cutters (1 missing). All components are there with the exception of the short rods, 1 blade and 1 nicker. If you're looking for a great user or something to put on the shelf then this is a great plane to consider as its virtually complete. Unfortunately the original box has seen better days but a nice custom box would make this plane stand out.
Happy to provide additional photos and details of required.
Condition is Used. Sent with Australia Post Standard Large Box/Satchel.
