Stanley 71 Router Plane Spear Point Blades
Many decades ago I used to make and sell my own version of the router, see attached. At some point way back then I caught wind that Stanley was discontinuing the making of the blades... At that time Lee Valley hadn't made a replacement that would fit the Stanley... The routers I was making were fairly popular, and I didn't want to get caught short and have no blades to sell with the routers so I did a sizable bulk order from them - I may have cleaned out their old stock TBH. Any whoo. Not many years later we moved to Aus and all that came to a screeching halt. So I have a fair number of the spear point blades if anyone needs an original... $35 plus the shipping. The price is a number I've thrown out, I have no true idea what they're worth so if you want to put in an offer that is lower - back it up with evidence as to what they're worth and I'd be happy to take that. If you're close and want to bring a six pack by and talk wood sh%t I'll probably drop the price even further...

Yup; beautiful!
I'd love to know the manufacturing steps; unless you look closely at the grain direction it looks like it could have been made from a single block of wood!
What's the little logo etched onto the handle "screw" heads please?Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

I have one that is for sale with a joiners tools box in the for sale items, which is the first one I made, but otherwise I have none for sale. To be honest, I don't think Australian woods are appropriate. They simply don't stop moving and, other than gidgee, on a colour and grain level aren't good enough.
