Variable speed lathe
Selling my rarely used lathe.
Bought this a few years ago for a side project that never got off the ground. This lathe has been used rarely, and is effectively brand new. There is some surface rust on the bed which should come off without an issue with a bit of elbow grease.
It has electronic variable speed, and can be run in forward or reverse rotation.
It runs on normal 10 Amp 240V power ( not sure why the motor specs state 3 phase ).
Will also include the standard faceplate + the scroll chuck currently fitted in the pics.
This is a large lathe, and very heavy....it does come apart, and can be transported in a normal passenger car ( provided you can fold the seats down to fit the 1194mm long cast iron bed ). I picked this up a few years ago from Pops Shed in a VW Golf!
The specs on this particular lathe are identical to: W387 - WL-46A Electronic Variable Speed Wood Lathe | Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse
I paid $2600 for this machine from memory, so asking $2000 ONO
Pickup only from Altona North, VIC.

The reason it says 3 phase is because it is. The VFD changes the single phase 240 volts into 3 phase variable frequency, that's why they are so good.
Good buy for someone.

Price drop to $1500
Don't forget this comes with the Bowl Chuck + any thing else lathe related I can find in my garage ( which includes a bowl sanding kit, and a nice Bowl Gouge ).
If no interest at this price, I will withdraw the listing.
Cheers
Seb
