Default Veritas Edge Plane and Luban Side Rebate Plane

I am selling a Veritas Edge Plane in as new condition as I have never used it. I also have a Luban Side Rebate Plane again never used.

The Veritas sells for $180 new so I am asking $130 including postage and the Luban sells for $110 new so I am asking $70 but postage is extra.

Im thinking of the VEP. Dont know much about them, so Im off to do a quick Google.

It is a Right handed one, isnt it?

Edit: I can imagine holding it. Though Im 80% leftie, this looks like it will work for me.

Would you accept $100 for it? (I offer this as, well, I'm skint!)

I'll take the Veritas edge plane if Woodpixel doesn't want it for $110.

I’ll take it for the original asking price of $130, but I think the forum rules may indicate WP has first refusal at $110?

Ok, now I'm a bit confused on rules. Is it ok for me to take Chief Tiff's offer at the original asking price?

I think it's yours Chief Tiff but I just want to make sure Hoey doesn't want it at the $130 price.

    Thanks Peter

    What if I bid $140?

I'm not going to but while we are running hypotheticals?

I apologise for causing trouble... again. The original price was very fair, I only thought to ask, but I cant easily go too high Congrats Hoey.

    Hi Evan
Just a clarification -- the Veritas edge plane is not really handed (as in for use by a left or left or right handed woodworker).
With these sorts of plane, left and right really refers to the direction the grain is running in the board. I have a pair of the Lie Nielsen equivalents and use them by pulling the plane towards me selecting the left or right version depending on which face of the board is square and the grain direction along the board.

I see no reason why a left-hander couldn't use the Veritas planes the same way.
