Vicmarc VL150
I am selling my VL150 which is in excellent condition. A breakdown of what is for sale is the VL150 (new cost $3100), Vicmarc Stand (new cost approx $400), VL150 250mm extension bed (new cost $220), 5 x tool rests (new cost approx $300) and tool rack (approx $150)
All up this is close to $4200 worth of Vicmarc and I am asking $3000 ONO.

I would really like to sell this lathe as I have already taken delivery of my new one so I'll drop the price to $2800 or best offer.
Cheers,
Peter

Hi Peter
May I ask why you are selling. I only intend to do pens, bowls, pepper/salt grinders cups etc, Do you know what the thread is on the spindle, would you be happy with $2500.

Hi Joe, I’m selling as I got a VL200 and don’t need two Vicmarc lathes. The thread is 30/3.5mm which is on all Vicmarc regards of the model. I really think that what I’m asking is a good price but I’ll go to $2700 if that will close the deal.
How does that sound to you?
Cheers,
Peter

Vl150
Thanks Peter
Did you find that the VL150 was a bit small for what intended to use you had for it for or did you just decide to do bigger turning jobs? I see were asking on forum a couple of months ago about the 150 I do not want to be in the same situation in a few months wishing I had got a bigger lathe. Sorry for the questions just want to be sure before I purchase. I have an old Toolmac lathe at the moment, 1100 bed on 2 round bars, not a machined surface and painful to do up tail stock and rest holder it has a 1hp motor. As mentioned just want to do bowls pens etc
regards
Joe

The VL150 did everything i wanted it to do but i had always wanted a VL200 and not long after getting the VL150 my mum passed away and i got the new lathe with money from her. It was just bad timing that i have only had the 150 a short time.
These Vicmarc lathes are just beautiful. They are smooth, quiet and powerful. You would not regret it.
Thanks Peter
