The bonus of visiting the Redland Men's Shed was a guided tour. Wow, this is some shed. It's big with further extensions already planned. There are separate woodworking, metalworking and welding areas and a truly vast range of machinery. The shed boasts self sufficiency in electricity with a huge solar array on the roof. There is a very large community area and the whole caboodle is clearly well run and organised. Anybody in this area, and of a certain age, should consider this as it is a great resource. It is also open on several days each week. I and SWMBO were made to feel very welcome.

    Thank you

    Regards
    Paul

Good morning Paul, Thank you for your kind observations re the Redlandbay Men's Shed, any time you are down this way please call in - morning tea is at 10AM and usually a biscuit or cake is available unless the card players get out of hand. A very diverse membership has the benefits of being able to find an expert to assist with virtually any project or discussion. Our members range from a deep sea diver to a Mig jet fighter pilot to farmers to various other less interesting occupations.

I know the Scroll Saw has a long and happy life ahead in your care once the kitchen is commissioned.

    Regards

    Richard
