Woodpeckers Metric Square Set
Up for sale is a truly magnificent set of layout tools - the Woodpeckers 1281 SS & 641 SS. They are a "One Time Tool" which has not been repeated so far. The squares include a very precise marking function with the included pencils, which allow you to do away with rulers and squinting. They are also adjustable. I only used them a couple of times for working with sheet goods, but am not doing that type of work any more.
If you've ever used or handled any Woodpeckers tools, you'll know the level of quality and precision they're made with. The tools are in as new condition.
Here's the webpage for when the tool was being made:
https://www.woodpeck.com/one-time-to...s-squares.html
To go with this set, I bought a few mechanical pencils, 5 sets of replacement leads, and 2 boxes (of 3) extra erasers.
If they made this set again, the cost for everything included here, plus shipping, would be around $590. I'm asking $450.
Please see pictures below - Cheers!

Hi Folks,
Not sure if this has ever been done before, but I'm going to try to conduct this sale entirely in the open.
Price dropped to $430.
Any questions or offers, please reply here.
Cheers,
Ben

Also being open, I messaged Ben to ask if his price was negotiable. His answer with a lower price is above and now I will make it like a reverse auction and am prepared to pay $400 for the squares and pencils. If anyone goes higher that will be great for Ben but if they don't and Ben wants to consider my offer then there it is.
(my wife will kill me by the way)

Yes it has Ben, and it's actually the way it's supposed to be, so good on you for insisting on it. Whenever I have something to sell I usually say "PM sent does NOT take it off the market".
Have a look here.
About halfway down, you can see
FOR EVERYONE (again)
General Notes:
etc etc etc
So that shows that negotiating should be done in public.
On another note, Woodpeckers gear is first class and I have and have had numerous examples of them, but there are also many times that they are dreaming their prices up.

I am glad you did because I just copped some major flack. And, as an aside, I did not offer or negotiate a price behind the scenes. I merely asked the question if the price was negotiable. With the view to make an offer in full view as per the rules. If the reply was not negotiable I would not have proceded any further and made any unwanted lowball offers which I myself hate..
