Default Workshop Clean Up: Veritas, Incra, Lie Nielsen, etc

    20230222_182033.jpg

    A) SOLD Veritas Fast-Action Hold-Down (heads only): These haven't been available for some time now (probably 5~6yrs) and when they were last on sale, Lee Valley were selling them for US$89. Obviously this did not include GST, shipping, conversion rate etc. If I had to guess, the local price would have been around $150. I bought 4 heads from another forum member a few weeks ago and paid $50 each. I only need a pair so I'm selling the other pair for what I paid for them. The posts for the Veritas Hold-Downs are fully interchangeable and are still currently available with the 5 1/2" posts currently available from Carbatec for about $20. The longer post I believe can also be purchased separately but may require a special order. In the pic above, I included the pair that I'll be keeping with the 2 different lengths of posts connected for illustration purpose only.

    B) SOLD Telescoping IncraLOCK Flip Fence - 18" to 31": Current price at Carbatec is $109. I'm asking $55. EDIT: This is the metric version for sale.

    C) Veritas Quick-Release Wonder Dog: Current Carbatec Price is $129. I have a pair but I only really need the one so I'm offering one up for sale. My asking price is $75.

    D) SOLD 375g Japanese Genno in hammer-forge finish: I'm pretty sure I bought this from JTA but I can't remember how much I paid for it. It appears JTA no longer stock this particular model, but from memory and going by their price for a similar sized Daruma in the same finish, it would have been around the $150 mark. Therefore I'm asking $75.

    E) SOLD 570g Japanese Genno in standard finish: Again, I'm pretty sure I bought this from JTA but it seems they no longer stock this particular model. Using their price for the $375g model as a guide, I guesstimate that the current price for a new one would be $75. Therefore, my asking price is $35.

    F) Veritas 1/4-20 T-Track Bench Blade x 2: Current price from Lee Valley is US$23.90 not including GST, Shipping, conversion etc. I don't think they're available locally. My search in the Carbatec site drew a blank. My guesstimate is these would probably sell for AU$50 each locally. Therefore, my asking price is $50 for the pair. One looks to be new and unused and the other used minimally if at all. I don't remember using it at all and may have just tried it out once on my drill press table.

    G) SOLD Pair of HNT Gordon 1/2" Tall Brass Dogs with 3/4" Shafts: These currently sell for $22 each. I already have another set in this size so I'm offering this pair up for $20.

    H) Veritas Panel Clamps Set: Current price at Carbatec is $109 per set but they're currently out of stock. I have 3 sets for sale all completely new and unboxed. My asking price is $75 per set.

    I) Veritas 1:8 Dovetail Cutting Guide: Current price at Carbatec is $95. My asking price is $45.

    J) SOLD David Barron 1:4 Magnetic Dovetail Saw Guide: I don't think this is available locally, and I believe I purchased it directly from Highland Woodworking where it is still currently on sale for US$59. Landed price in Oz would probably be in excess of $100 once all the costs are factored in. My asking price is $40.

    K) SOLD Bridge City Toolworks Mini Square: I have no idea where I bought this from or how much I paid for it. How does $10 sound?

    20230222_182430.jpg

    L) Veritas Surface Clamp: Current price at Carbatec is $157. These make great material supports on sliding dead-men (see pic) similar to what the old Stanley 203 clamps were used for but these will work with any 19mm dog holes regardless of the depth without any modifications. They'll also work on horizontal surfaces, e.g. benchtop. I have a pair of these and I only really need the one, so I'm offering one up for sale. Although, I am building a 2nd bench which will also have a sliding deadman.....

Asking price is $100. Pick up from Robertson and postage is extra.

    20230222_182721.jpg20230222_182742.jpg

    M) Lie Nielsen 50 degree frog for #4 or #5 bench plane: This came as part of the package when I bought my Bronze #4. It looks to be unused or minimal use at worse. Current price at LN Oz is $129. I'm not too fussed if this doesn't sell as I haven't yet tried it. I know that my HNT Jack Smoother comes with the blade bedded at 55 degree to cope with our tough interlocked Ozzy hardwoods, which makes me reluctant to sell this, so my asking price of $100 is a reflection of this.

    Cheers,
    Mike
