Blackheart Sassafras discs, kiln dried and dressed.

Hi all,

Found these large Tasmanian blackheart sassafras angled discs when going through some old wood show bins, couldn't believe they are still in perfect order after nearly 15 years. We stopped cutting these in the mid 2000's as the success rate was only about 20%, too much wastage. I haven't seen these available anywhere for a long time, not sure if anyone else cuts them. With bh sassy being very scarce these days, I couldn't see anyone wanting to risk wasting 80% of the log either.

They were kiln dried and dressed years ago, just had a light sand for show, still very flat and all 30mm thick. Perfect for many craft projects.

Dimensions and prices as follows:

Disc 1: 595 x 370 x 30 $80
Disc 2: 535 x 340 x 30 $70
Disc 3: 570 x 365 x 30 $75

Definitely interested in number 1. Possibly number 3.

Can you provide an estimate on postage to 3058 for a single piece and for 2 pieces?

They are not that heavy, so thinking maybe $15 for one piece, so $30 for 2 pieces. In the interest of being fair, if you take both I am happy to just call it $20, wrapped and posted!

I have made room in my message box for you to send your details johnoberno, thanks, 1 & 3 sold to you.
Drillit, I have checked the crack and although it does just go through, it is no more than 1 or 2mm wide and can easily be filled with a resin. The photo shows black heart staining along the crack making it appear much larger in the photo than it really is. I am very confident you could still use this as a platter, but your choice.
