Block of Black Bean.

I have this block of Black Bean (Castanospermum australe) for sale, 580 to 610 long, 260 to 270 wide and 85 to 90 thick. It has hairline cracks indicated by blue arrows that go to the end, some pithy sapwood on one side and a crack on one edge marked by blue tape. Suitable for woodturning, boxes or I dread, knife handles? Photographed dry as sanded.
Asking $30 plus freight. It weighs approx 9kgs, so it will have to be eGo couriers or your choice.

Yes, it is a wood with potential hazards for many wood workers, as have so many other woods that we use. Certainly a wood to avoid if one has a known allergy sensitivity.
