    Default Caesalpinia ferrea - Box making or luthier timber

    I am 99% sure it is Caesalpinia Ferrea aka leopard tree, also sold as brazilian ironwood or Pau ferro if I'm not mistaken.
    I milled this from a tree in the neighbours yard around 6 or 7 years ago. Very dense and displays a great deal of colour variations and spalting. Quiet unique I think...
    Could be used for some interesting lids or for fretboards on guitars.
    There are around 7-8 pieces of varying length. The smaller pieces are dressed and large piece were dressed green and left to season so will need a more dressing.
