Curly York gum 780mm x 330mm x 30mm
Lovely slice of nicely machined well figured york gum. Been in my workshop around eight years. Originally purchased from a craft wood dealer in Tasmania as an air dried machined slab. It is difficult to get a good idea of the figure with these photos. Size is 780mm x 330mm x 30mm.
It is a very dense and quite heavy board that would go great as a food prep block or small coffee table top. Broken down you would get a lot of jewelry cases or similar. It would also be useful in a luthiers workshop as it would make great looking tops, excellent fingerboards, bridges and instrument fitments.
There is an inclusion on one edge 144mm x 10mm approx which looks like what was a live edge. It is very straight and exhibits no cupping. The original price written in texta on one end I didnt do that. Couple of pix below and more here
I'll put my price of $100 and we'll see what the level of interest is.
Don't be shy! make me an offer and who knows I may accept it
I'll say pick up at Carrum Downs but may be talked into shipping if it goes at a decent price. weighs pretty heavy
