I wish I had some more Black Gidgee Logs. I had two logs but they sold immediately upon seeing only the pictures. They are about 1:1000 to find. Saying that, we have another batch of logs coming soon. I have seen the first pictures and there might be one among them. I will make a post as soon as I get one.

$14 per kilo, $14,000 per tonne. Specific gravity ~1.15, so $16,100 per m³.
Just asking, is that the going rate for rough sawn Gidgee?

I have heard prices up to $50,000 per cubic metre for top quality Gidgee. My prices are based on actual costs without a premium markup. There can also be a significant amount of waste when cleaning up whole boards. The rough sawn boards show every defect and are in original condition. Boards are kept in "log lots" and almost every board has a mirror image or "butterfly" sibling. I feel it is important to keep each log as a set because of the variations in grain and colour.
