I have been lucky this year and have remained flu-free - touch wood (nicely figured hardwood with spectacular chatoyance of course )
Last year I got a bug that just would not leave. Every time I started to feel better it came back and hit me again. This went on for months. That was after having a flu shot.
Anyway Chris, good to see you back active in the marketplace and I hope your relocation is not too stressful.
Cheers
DougI got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Doug, Its funny you mentioned that you ended up crook, after having the flu shot, I only ever had one flu shot and ended up sick as a dog, could have been a coincidence?
A couple of years ago, my old work place supplied Flu shots, our Lab Tech ended up getting the shot and he also ended up very sick, to put salt into the wound, his Supervisor gave him a counseling about having time off (sick leave).
The tech was furious, especially after trying to do the right thing and not have time off, by having the shot, I did mention to him that YOU are quite entitled to time off, if you are sick as per their union agreement.

When I said I was sick "after" having the flu shot, I did not mean I was sick as a consequence of having it, more that I got sick although I had already had the injection at a time in the past.
But now that I think about it, I always have the flu shot as soon as they come out so every time I have had flu-like symptoms it has been AFTER having the shot. You may be onto something there. And maybe not...
Cheers

Too right Tim,on the wrong end is an understatement.Been essentially homeless for past 8 months living in a tent with no toilet/running water etc and by no fault of mine!
Wears you down after a while I can tell you.
Applying for D.S.P directly as my working days are finished due to a rank back...but unfortunately don't hold much hope when I hear stories of folk that are dying and receiving kidney dialysis 3 days a week being rejected the pension
Praying to the universe that I get a positive outcome...MMMapleman
