Hi Folks
Bit taken back by the response....thank you to all concerned
Have been bed ridden for some weeks now with major chest infection and general flu
Never been this crook before so has given me quite a fright
Blood pressure was 210/125 so was expecting my heart to jump out of my chest
Add to that a few nerve impingements in my neck vertebrae and lower back as well
Advice to our elderly forum folk...PLEASE ensure that your flu shots are up to date as this season's flu is something not to mess with
Hoping to be well enough tomorrow for a trip to town
Cheers again for all messages of support...MMMapleman

Get well soon Chris
Chris, I was just thinking about you today.
I realized that you must have still been sick as my blackwood had not arrived yet. Don't panic, I am not chasing it and am still happy to wait until you are well enough to post it. Health is more important.
Get well soon, mate.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Chris, hope you are up and about very soon. I agree the 'flus are getting nastier. Our daughter, a clinical nurse, says there has been a quite noticeable rise in serious 'flu complications this year - so get your 'flu shots.
On a cheery note, over the last couple of weeks I've been working with some of your Jacaranda and Blackwood pen blanks and the larger sizes making Celtic knot pen blanks and turning them. Re-sawing and machining the jacaranda to 2mm thickness, awesome timber to work with. The chatoyance in the blackwood is some of the best that I have seen. Beautiful timber mate, thank you for being able to source and supply such magic timber.Mobyturns

Hope you get better soon Chris.
Flu shot - GP told my wife the flu shot is only good for about 3 months so those (like me) who had shots early may not be covered now. Will have to look into this a bit further.
