WIKI: Araucaria cunninghamii is a species of known as Hoop pine. Other less commonly used names include colonial pine, Queensland pine, Dorrigo pine, Moreton Bay pine and Richmond River pine.

A Large Hoop Pine fell on my property around 4 years ago after a prolonged drought followed by a bushfire. Somewhere back in it's youth the tree had already survived a bushfire as can be seen in the patterning. I chained it as best I could removing termite and rot damage. It's not really a pine at all, it's a very hard wood, soft in parts but more a hard dense wood than a pine. This slab weighs 50kg and is a huge chunk of wood.

I have no idea of value. So the thread rules say to submit a ball park figure. I figured if I charged ten bucks an hour for retrieving it from the bottom of a ravine then, slabbing it and sanding and polishing one face then it has to be worth $5 per kilo. (or near offer)

If there is any interest in this then I have 228kg of this stuff and it's beautifully patterned.
