I am an old codger who likes to play with my Comet II lathe, making objects from timber and/or resin. Although I have never used burl before, I have seen it used in projects I have viewed online and am interested in purchasing maybe 10kg.
Would it be possible to make up a box (maybe some pictures?) for despatch to northern NSW?

Being a newbie to the Forum, I may have broken protocol by sending a PM to Jwskillin regarding the purchase of some of his available burl.

For this I apologise both to the forum and to Jwskillin.

However I would like to purchase a quantity of burl as it looks most appealing for the timber and resin projects I have in mind.

So as instructed, I wish to proceed with a 10kg purchase. I'll take it.

When confirmed by Jwskillin, I will then PM details for payment and address.

I'm sad.

Despite my posts above, as well as a couple of PM's, I have not yet had a reply from Jwskillin. I just hope he is of good health or of some other manner indisposed. Although I don't require (at this stage) a massive amount of burl, his advertised product looked ideal for what I was perhaps looking for.

Can a mod maybe advise when Jwskillin last visited the forum. I just find it strange there has been no reply.

I'll wait a few more days then I suppose I will have to search elsewhere for some burl.

Last visit was the 1st of Sept at 12:48pm so should have seen your first reply. I'm not a mod but anyone can check these things if you know where.

As a "newbie" with less than 5 posts, I was unable to use that function at the time. Now I've past that milepost, I'm all over it. Thank you Treecycle.

Are there any greater than 550mm in size?
I'm not after weight , but I'm interested in anything thats over 550
