For Sale - Stack of Bloodwood Timber in Coffs Harbour

Please excuse my mistakes if I have got this wrong. I've not used this forum or web system to advertise product before.

So any help or direction - much appreciated

AUSTRALIAN HARDWOOD TIMBER – Bloodwood – 3600 Lengths for sale

$2,500 (Negotiable)

I have a quantity of unused timber slabs or rails.

This timber was felled and milled on-site in Coffs Harbour. It has been stored under cover for 5 years. It is completely dry, has a low moisture content and is ready to use for building projects or landscaping.

The timber is Australian Hardwood – Bloodwood.

The sizes of the pieces are listed below, together with the number of pieces.

All lengths are 3.6 Metres (3600mm)

195-200mm wide x 50mm thick = 11 pieces (each 3.6m long)
140mm wide x 50mm thick = 8 pieces (each 3.6m long)
100mm wide x 50mm thick = 20 pieces (each 3.6m long)
75mm wide x 50mm thick = 3 pieces (each 3.6m long)
140mm wide x 25mm thick = 1 piece (3.6m long)
100mm wide x 30mm thick = 1 piece (3.6m long)

Note: This timber is untreated and was air-dried under cover for over 5 years.

The lengths are reasonably straight and have few knots in the grain.

The timber was to be used on-site for a building project that was later cancelled.

The price is for the entire stack of timber.

The best offer will be accepted.

The timber must be collected from Coffs Harbour (NSW 2450).

I'd be interested specifically in a cost of these pieces if you will seperate.

I'm close to the Big Banana - so where are you Harry? In any event, local sawmills in the Coffs region offer 8" x 2" rough sawn green hardwood 3.6m lengths for $110 a piece (incl GST). This price is for a lot of 10 pieces. Delivery is extra and for 30kms away the price seems to be around $200. I can't deliver - no trailer/ute/truck etc. I would have thought somewhere around $800 would be more reasonable for the stack I have. Over to you Harry for consideration.

Thanks for the response Len, I appreciate a bit better insight into your pricing considerations.

I'm roughly 9 hours drive, give or take from the big banana, My pricing was based off locally available prices for blackbutt and red iron bark, which is roughly 10-30 l/m green, I obviously needed an understanding of your expectations and meant no offence by my offer.

Bloodwood matches a friends existing cabinetry and they are requesting some internal 38mm thick french doors to match. Red ironbark is close but obviously the same timber is better.

Considering I'm up for 2 days travel I'd need either a viable delivery medium (which for the distance is unlikely) or the price to be worth the drive.

I have some friends who are furniture makers, I may reach out to them and enquire as to whether they are interested in the other pieces in this lot, in which case taking the lot becomes worth the trip.
