Silky Oak Live Edge Boards
Around 40 odd boards of Southern Silky Oak. This was cut in Kandanga 10+ years ago and is bone dry ready for use. Almost all the boards have one sawn and one live edge. The live edge could easily be removed by ripping to width or kept as a feature depending on the project. Because of the live edge the boards vary considerably in width. Some are up to 200mm and some have sections as narrow as 75-100mm. All are a full 25mm thick rough sawn with the odd better wide board having been skim dressed. They are all very good lengths at 5.5m to 6m. The photos in sunlight show the true colour of skim dressed boards while the third photo taken after sunset to show the live edge widths are rough sawn and aged in appearance. A quick dress will reveal the true colour. I'm happy to part with these cheaply to move them on quickly. For the majority of them I'd suggest $1000/m3 which would mean the thinner boards (100-150mm) would be around $15-$20 each. For the wider boards (150mm-200mm) I think $1500/m3 would be fair which would make them $30-$40. For reference, the two colour photos attempt to show a sample of the best and worst boards side by side. The third photo (poor colour) shows two of the thinner boards side by side. The board on the left of the third photo is Bunya pine and not relevant to this thread.
I don't really have the time or the space to have people sort through and pick the eyes out of it so if I said $20/board for a minimum of 10 boards ($200) then hopefully that evens out. Some boards will be a total bargain but none should be unreasonable. If someone is interested in the lot then i'm happy to negotiate (I'd estimate there to be 0.6-0.7 m3 in the stack). All of these are available for pickup from Hendra. At this price I would like for them to be collected relatively quickly (within the next week if possible).
So in summary (I hope this doesn't become confusing): please nominate how many boards you have an interest in assuming multiples of 10 boards in varying width at 5.5m long for $200. There are a total of 40 boards available (4 x $200). Once again, happy for someone to make an offer on the lot if it's easier and they can use the quantity.

I'd be interested in 10 boards but I'd like to check them out first. I'll send you a PM.

I’m putting this thread on hold for the moment. Happy for anyone interested to post below. I’ll update the thread once I know how I’m proceeding.

Seems more than reasonable to me given your circumstances.
Folks I have purchased a number of items from Troy over the past few years and have found Troy to be very honest, reliable and fair probably to his own detriment. I'm very confident that Troy would fairly distribute the boards to ensure that any purchaser received more than a fair return. If I weren't so far away I would have very happily grabbed some of his recent offerings.Mobyturns

I'd be interested in 10 or 20 boards, depending on what's available.
