I'm sure this will go no probs! -sigh- I'm too far away = down in Vic. Seems to be a distinct lack of timber sales down here!

Chris, This definitely comes under the category of cruel and unusual punishment for all of us who are not within relatively easy reach of you. Hope you have a successful clearance (can't imagine there won't be plenty of interest) and manage your move with the minimum of stress. I guess you're not moving far?
Cheers,
David

MM, how much is there in the way of other species (especially any thick bowl blanks)? I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I've never really liked silky much!

Hi Danny...mostly Silky but a few stacks of Acacia(one species unsure of but stunningly figured)...bits of White Cedar, Mango,Jacaranda,Grey Gum,Tallow...Silky is as i stated more red/pink tones as opposed to the yellow tones...i think your opinion of it would alter if you viewed this lot though ...but look, each to their own ...older,harder grown trees always seem to produce more interesting grain and colour, regardless of the species too...MM

Cheers Chris - do you have a photo or two of the stacks of mystery acacia? Trying to figure out if I can make it up there on the weekend.
