Sydney Inner West - Various: Slabs, 2x4s, 4x4s. Red Gum, White Cedar, Spanish Cedar..
Hello Woodies,
I've been asked to clear out some surplus timber around the house (very early Spring cleaning ).
Around .4 cube of wood I would think.
First two pics are 1-2inch boards/slabs around 5-6 ft long, 250-350mm wide.

Second two pics are 2inch slabs, 2x4s and 4x4s from 6-8ft long. Slabs are perhaps 350-450 wide.

I've not got time to sort through it, but would like to make some space quickly. From memory there's some Ash and Maple in there also.
$100 for the lot, not willing to seperate.
NSW - 2133.
Cheers,
Kane

Enak,
A word of advice old son. Read the market place rules. When someone posts "I'll take it" that means the item is sold to that person and it's not appropriate to wait for someone else to look at it first.
Groovyolly,
It pretty dodgy to go back and edit your post to say "I'll take it" well after you had time to look at it over the weekend and after I had committed.
I am disappointed to have lost the buy but more so when people don't follow the rules.

Hi Mick,
I had spoken to Kane and the sale was already listed as pending before you even posted. My edits weren't dodgy either: I expressed serious interest in my initial post, but made a couple of honest mistakes in haste, so edited immediately (within an hour of originally posting) to properly-comply with the forum rules. In the edit, I clearly stated I was picking it up on Saturday (25/04) - that was last Tuesday (21/04).
Beat you to it fair and square this time mate. On the plus side, your back is probably much less sore than mine Didn't intend to cause any upset and the beauty of these forums is you'll have another opportunity very soon.
Cheers,
Olly

Enak and I posted at exactly the same time on 21 April, 09:47 a.m. He posted Pending. He didn't post Sold until six days later after the weekend which corresponds with the information he sent in his PM sent on 21 April at 09:55 a.m.
I can accept that you made an "honest mistake" by not reading the instructions written in large bold red type and committed "within an hour", probably when you saw me post +I'll take it" 35 minutes after the offer was first made.
Fair and square means you know the rules before you play and follow them or get penalised.
Anyway, it's now a done deal so time to learn the lesson and move on.
