    Default Tasmanian blackwood figured instrument billets, backs and sides.

    Hi all,

    I have available matching back and sides billets in Tasmanian blackwood, cut from the same log about 8 years ago. Quarter sawn and graded specifically for musical instruments, the timber shows great figure and character, somewhat different to standard fiddleback. I didn't let the kids choose this one, this is my own choice as a result of queries about higher grade material. I'll still get them to sweep the shed though!

    To be sold as a matching set for $250, the price reflects the quality and it's end use. Backs billet is 750x255x48, sides billet is 950x125x48. This should be able to easily cut four complete back and sides sets.

    Thanks for that, you will love the timber I am sure. It has a very unique character that I have rarely seen in 20 years of milling.
