    Default Log tongs

G'day everyone I am looking for a set of log tongs or log hooks to tow logs out of the paddock. Anyone have some they don't need.
    I am learning, slowley.

That is what I have been doing but a loghook or tongs is quicker. I might try to make some. What sort of iron or steel do I want to use?

I made a 44 gal'drum lifter many years ago. Scissor style out of 100mm x 12mm mild steel flat bar. I imagine your logs are going to be heaps heavier than a 44 though?
    Cheers,
    Geoff.

Heres' a pic of some cant hooks I made about 12 years ago.
The longer one is 48" long and the smaller one is about 38" long.
I just use half inch mild steel plate for the hooks.
