    Default Brazilian Rosewood

    I know this is a long shot but I am after some Brazilian to repair an original Spiers 21.5" jointer plane.

    Happy to discuss pricing, postage etc for the right pieces. I am tempted to purchase an old table to get what I need but also a shame to wreck somthing like that...

    Dai Sensai, sorry to butt in but if I sent a pic of an old Bailey tote that needs a new horn do you reckon you'd know if it was Rosewood and what sort? Have been looking for a small bit too and willing to pay for it to get the resto done.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I'll try to upload a photo so you can see what I am dealing with but rough size would be 140 x 75 x 75 to allow for some wiggle room. Unfortunately its the older darker red variety so very much hard to come by.

    Pic of the front bun which was smashed to loosen the blade perhaps??? doesn't make sense given it's an original level cap..
