Default Wanted: Dawn or Record Quick release vice

Looking for an old Dawn/Record Quick Release vice, not fussed on condition so long as the lead screw works. Probably going to be a WA only thing unless people think they'd be willing to ship. Let me know if you can help. Thanks!

Scored an old Dawn No 8 quick release off FB marketplace with a Jarrah bench for $100 today. Thanks everyone!

Haha and I've gotten home and realised it overhangs the end of the apron by an inch. I'll make it an end vise so not all bad. And I got some nice timber out of it [emoji1]

Am I to understand from your statement that you're mounting your front vise outside the legs, not between them then? If so, I'm interested as to why you've gone for that design decision. I'm not advocating for one way or the other, just that inside seems to be the norm.

Yeah my bench is only 1.8m long, if I put it inside the legs it's too close to the centre of the bench and will be in the way a lot of the time.

Not exactly what I was looking for but it will do. Also too large to put where I want it on the end of the apron but given the usefulness of the pivot jaw I'm going to put it inside the legs and live with it getting in the way occasionally. For $100 I'm very happy!

Haha and I've just realised my dog holes interfere [emoji23]

Looks like it's going to overhang the apron!

Yeah I was surprised it sat there so long, I was looking at it for a few days as well. Decided it was too large and didn't want a second oversized vice but then I realised how cheap it really was so I jumped on it. Really happy I did now, it's oversized but will still be very useful. And yep it's the quick release model.
