Falcon 151R spokeshave - Falcon 151 Round Spokeshave
Would anyone have a F151R or 151R falcon original spokeshave? (I'm unsure as to whether they are marked 151R or F151R)
If you are interstate, happy to pay for postage.
I also have a couple of friends interested, so would be interested in more than 1.
Thanks

Bump - Question. Is this a mythical beast?
I've seen 151F that are round. But I cannot for the life of my find either a 151R or F151R in google image. I think the information presented on the htpaa website regarding the falcon 151R is incorrect. If anyone has any contrary information. Please let me know and... post a photo.
I think instead that pope has rounded a few in each production run and sold as is. Rather that making another cast just to mark that the spokeshave is round.

I've ended up finding a couple. So they do exist. They have the same machine markings and I've been able to cross reference the markings with a couple of other owners/collectors I've met. Anyone trying to find one they are marked as F151 and they are machined round. The rounding cuts into the f151 marking slightly. Speaking with a WA tool collector, we both suspect they used flat stock and just machined it round rather than create another type of casting.
Falcon / Pope also has some branding transitional items. For example I own a falcon 4 1/2 with the pope blue. I also own a pope flat F151, it has no marking on the leaver cap, marked as falcon pope on the blade and the spokeshave body is of blue Pope and marked as f151. I've come across a couple now that are the same as mine. I have not seen a transitional branding pope round f151.
