Default Festool Domino DF XL 700

I have a fair amount of constructions around the house coming up, and I'm after the bigger Festool Domino joiner.

They don't appear for sale much, and I'm not averse to buying one new, but if anyone has one gathering dust and wants to move it on, please let me know.

I saw one on gumtree today for $1850. Might be worth a look?

Tried him - he won’t accept paypal, and I’m not prepared to do that amount of $ as a bank transfer to a stranger. Unfortunately I don’t know any Adelaideian’s either as I’d take it at that price if it was in good condition.

Also be careful with PayPal on Gumtree, they do not offer the same protection as on EBay.

They market it on Gumtree as a way to pay when you have inspected the goods and are ready to complete the transaction on site. It would be handy as you don’t need to take large amounts of cash to the door of the seller. There is no buyer protection via PayPal for Gumtree purchases.

As an Adeladian I may be able to help out if you are in a squeeze.

Thanks, Oh Smelly one - you’re absolutely right. No protection for Gumtree purchase with PP. I had a brief look at the T&C’s, so I’m not sure whether you could get protection if you used a business-style transaction (which of course incurrs bigger fees).

Quite sneaky. Back in the day, eBay and paypal got into trouble for appearing to offer credit card style protection when in fact they weren’t.

It would be a big ask to act as an intermediary as it’s a bulky beast to have to post (2 sustainers). (I get the impression the seller isn’t interested in doing much more than talking cash and handing over).

That'd be funny if it wasn't true!
