Default GMC 1500watt 'magnesium' router (part)

G'day all, I'm usually on the metalwork forums but chasing a woodwork related item; I bought one of the GMC whiz-bang routers back when Bunnings dumped the brand and they were going cheap, it lasted about 3 months and has been sitting under a bench ever since as I couldn't bring myself to chuck it out. Last week I robbed it of the handle and power switch for a conversion of an old radial-arm saw and the conversion came up so well I want to do the same to another RAS I have. Chasing the same part as I made a pattern and cast an aluminium mounting bracket for it and if I can find another the same I'm 90% there.
Model is 'MAG1500R', it was the one with soft-start and variable speed. If anyone else has one that crapped itself but still has a good switch I'd love to hear from you.

Since posting this, I've twice had messages from people telling me their dad has one of these for sale in good condition; I'm unable to see if it's the same person, as today the message does not appear in my inbox, just an email with a link to the forum. Last time it was from someone with no previous WWF posts and an address in the USA. No price mentioned and no link to an ad. If either person was genuine (I did not reply as it looked scammy to me), please understand that I'm unlikely to be able to pay the value of one of these routers in 'good condition', as once I have robbed it of the switch and handle the rest will be landfill. There's been a working one on FB for $75 for a couple of months now but really I would be looking at no more than half of that, hence hoping to find a dead one that some other hoarder has hung on to. I'm also keeping an eye out for any dead power tool with a handle / switch arrangement that would work on the RAS and I'll start from scratch with the pattern making and casting.

It was a scammer Pete, he sent out 10 PMs and was reported earlier today.

If you get any PMs similar to these, please report them using the little black triangle below the message and we can then verify if they’re genuine or scammers.
    Cheers
