Lol....I think it's the only tool for which I still have the original box, in which it lives between outings, and the Limited Edition certificate that came with it. Like you, I think mine was a WWW show indulgence many years ago, when our dollaridoo was much better regarded on world currency markets.

Funny, every other plane I have is Veritas BU, but I just never got on with their block planes. These LN jobbies (102 and 103), although nowhere near as sophisticated as Veritas, just fit the hand nicely. Hence getting rid of my DX60, which I thought would be the block plane to rule them all, but I just reach for the LN block planes every time.

May I suggest you post the tools you are interested in selling in a separate post.
This thread has almost run its course.

    Graham,

I would be interested in your Stanley No.7 if it is still available. I live in Canberra so could collect from you.
Please PM me to arrange day/time.

A huge and public thanks to @MrBrush for his very kind and awesome sale of the DX60 and two saws. I feel ... like a kid at Christmas.

ALSO, a huge and public thanks to @Flindersia for helping with the sale of the Rabbit plane, scraper and router plane. I love them all and they will be My Precioussseessss....

Thanks also to everyone who has given me advice, PMs and pointed out various hints and off-forum sales to kick me down the path of pursuing handtools.

    I owe youze blokes heaps!

Again I need to thank everyone who has sold me various hand tools over the last 8 months.

This week I made kumiko out on the balcony.

The veritas hand saws were fantastic, the veritas planes (a bevel up smoother and low angle jack) were ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING.

I absolutely love those planes. Top notch, first rate. They have "only" A2 blades, but they are fantastic.

The curls of shavings I made filled a decent box and SWMBO asked me to keep them for her (???).

Thanks all. I hugely appreciate it.

Second hand gear is THE BEST!!!!!!
