    Post WANTED:N.S.W Lathe

    Wood Lathe
I am trying to find a good condition, solid wood lathe similar to the older style Durden TopTurn, Woodfast, Vicmac or similar. The bed must be a minimum of 750mm for spindle turning.
I am based in the Blue Mountains, NSW and would be happy to travel within the state to pick up.
Budget is around the $1500 - $3000 range depending on the machine and accessories included.
The key word would be good condition
The lathe will mostly be used for spindle turning with the odd bowl etc.

    cheers

I have a cougar EVS350 I was thinking of selling in the next fortnight (organising storage sheds!).... its model number is CGR-350EVS

Its very heavy, with cast iron legs. Condition is Very Excellent.

Tailstock is point to point perfect.

EVS controlled with a 2HP motor that powers through anything.

Checking the bed length and finding the manual.

Extension is available that takes it to 950mm ... CGR-350EVS Extension Bed - Major Woodworking Equipment

Is this perhaps the kind of thing you're after?

Gday Woodpixel, yes I am interested. I have never heard of the Couger Lathes but after a quick search I am interested in learning more about your lathe, in particular the bed length.
    Thanks mate.
