Wadkin rs lathe wanted
Chasing a wadkin rs short or long bed, must have outboard turning rest stand and saddle with tool post. Doesn’t matter where in Australia it is, I’m a Patternmaker by trade and need to add one to my home shop

Welcome to the forum.
Good luck with your quest. There are a few people here that like Wadkins, and will have the same machine on their wishlists - so when one does show, it might not come cheap. If transport cost are no object, your fastest way of acquiring an RS (with the parts you want) might be ebayUK. They seldom show here in NZ, and I don't see them on ebayAU either.
If you were after an RS without saddle and outboard toolpost - needing restore - I know of someone here who has two...

That one from Timber Bits @ Villawood doesn't seem to be online anymore so assume it got sold. Was a really nice machine from what I can tell and a rare 10" bed which doesn't come around too often.

A mate at Kyogle who’d been loaned one and then lost that after a few months bought it.
It was an early machine, I had a look at it about a year ago from the original seller.
He also bought a sander, same as yours and couldn’t fit it and the lathe on his truck so guess who now has 2 Wadkin Bursgreen disc and belt sanders in his shed.
just hope they don’t start breeding as I’m fast running out of space!

PS I know of a BL150 here in Sydney wot needs a new home.
PSS Will be up in Brisbane before Xmas.Jimcracks for the rich and/or wealthy. (aka GKB '88)

G'day patternmaker 10. First time browsing 'Wanted' hence my late reply. If you are still looking for a Pattern Making Lathe I might have what you want. It's not a Wadkin RS, but the Great Great Great Grandfather. SAGAR with traveling tool carriage and all bells and whistles.
Regards,
Gerard Peter.
