Lie Nielsen. 66
I am after a Lie Nielsen 66 beader with blades. If you have one that is not being used I am interested in giving it a new home.
Just asking here before I explore options overseas or second hand or a new one but at the asking price of $339 at Lie Nielsen Australia I will have to look elsewhere I think.

Once upon a time I would have dug deeper into my pocket to get it from an Australian supplier but the cash is a bit light on since leaving full time employment so I have to search out a few better deals either overseas or locally. I would imagine there are quite a few 66 Beaders sitting never if ever used like a lot of Lie Nielsen tools. Blokes have grand ideas to use them, pay top dollar and then are too scared to actually use them in case they get scratched. I don't see the point as they are only tools to be looked after AND used. Scratching and patina come with use. Nearly all of my Lie Nielsens were bought second hand with not a mark or sign of use on them. They look a bit different now..........

The Lie Nielsen beader arrived this morning. 11 days from order to getting it. With exchange rate and foreign exchange fee from NAB it ended costing $240.43 for the tool, $42.59 for the postage and $8.50 NAB foreign exchange ripoff fee. Total $291.52. A saving of $47.48 off Australian Lie Nielsen price.

Well done Col,got my one on ebay about 3 yrs ago .I like the option of having this hand tool to sometimes put a bead in rather than a router.

I agree. I have made scratch blocks in the past or used the Stanley 45 to get suitable profiles on furniture repairs so I thought I would finally get the Lie Nielsen version after procrastinating for years. I stupidly got rid of a Stanley beader a few years ago here on the forum. I needed the cash more at the time. Such is life.
