Default Liogier or Auriou cabinetmaker’s rasp

If you have a rasp(s) collecting dust in good condition and would like to part ways with it, I would be keen to hear from you.

After another day using old metal files shaping a timber handle, I have decided enough is enough. Time to get the proper tool for the job.

    Kind regards,
    Lance

I do but your not having them,
    But you know why !!

You will be a charged man Lance going from a metal file, to a prober handle makers rasp.

It was a moment in my life I will never forget, well almost.

Don’t pass on the Japanese rasp either there quite good and a lot cheaper.

    Cheers Matt.

You are not getting mine either for the same reason. They give a whole new meaning to using a rasp. I hesitated about buying one at the Wood Show a few years ago but worth every dollar

I bought a Shinto Rasp 250 mm long today from Carbatec, only $51, wouldn't be without it

    Thanks for the comments chaps.

Whilst I agree with the value of the Shinto jobs, my primary pain point at the moment is concave curves. I have other means of dealing with flat and convex faces, which whilst not ideal, does not necessitate spending money to satisfy that scenario alone.

I expect I will buy a new one if I get no joy here, but if someone wants to dispose of theirs, we both end up with some spare cash in or pockets, which is never a bad thing. [emoji846]
