Default LN #5 1/2 Jack Plane and 60 1/2 Rabbet Block Plane

As per the title, I am looking for a Lie Nielsen #5 1/2 Jack Plane preferably with a standard frog and also a Lie Nielsen #60 1/2 Rabbet Block Plane preferably the new version with the nickers for cross grain work. They don't need to be mint, as they'll be users, but I don't want ones with significant damage and/or wear either. Please let me know if you have either planes for sale.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Not sure if this would work for you, but I've an as-new Veritas Low Angle Jack with A2 blade.

It came bundled with a few other planes. It's now spare and I don't need two.... (ooooorrrrr DO I?)

If this fits your bill, let me know.

(I saw you snavvel that beautiful shoulder plane 13.8 seconds after it was posted! Nice!)

Thanks wP but I already have one of those which I use as my "all-rounder". I want a LN # 5 1/2 to use as a dedicated smoother. As for the Veritas shoulder plane, I was fast (you gotta be around here), but I wasn't that fast.

    Cheers,
    Mike

I'm tempted. I really want the nickered version for cleaning tenon cheeks.......but I'll give it some serious thought, John. How much do you want for it? Send me a PM if you're not willing to broadcast your asking price.

    Cheers,
    Mike

It seems a fair price to me, John, but I think I'll hold out for a nickered version. Thanks anyway.

UPDATE: I'm no longer looking for the rabbet block plane as I've gone and purchased the Henry Eckert version. But I am still on the lookout for a LN # 5 1/2. Cheers.

I'd be interested to know what you think KahoyKutter when it arrives, thanks.

No probs, mannetje. Keep an eye on my thread in the "Hand Tools - Unpowered" sub-form where I'll post my impression/mini-review of the plane. Cheers.
