Wanted to Purchase Leigh Dovetail Jig Queensland
I am looking to purchase a Leigh Dovetail jig, I am looking at the 18" Superjig and D4 pro models.
I am located in Brisbane.
If you are considering selling or upgrading to another model then i may be interested in purchasing.
Kind regards
Tomartomau

I have a D4 with the kit to convert it to a D4R that I don't really use. It also includes VRS extraction attachment. Send me a PM to discuss further. Cheers.

I have a D3 24” which I want to sell . I have a manual and a DVD and some bits for it somewhere .
I only did one set of Three drawers with it a long time ago . I was more confused with that contraption than ever before . Been doing hand cut and waste removed with router ever since and prefer that.
What does a later D4 do that a D3 doesn’t ? If any one has a link to that info I’d like to read it .

I think the super-jigs have now been discontinued from a chat with a bloke at carbatec.
They had all the accessories very greatly reduced recently.

Thanks everyone,
I am directed by the notice at the top of the page so I will ask the questions here.
If some photos and pricing can be posted that would be great. There was a D4R 24" that sold last month with a complete set of dovetail cutters in a box, but unfortunately I missed out on that one.
I have been in contact with Carbatec Bne and they are low on Super Jig stock.

As requested, photos attached. Please note minor damage to the scale in the last pic. This was done by the previous owner and it doesn't affect functionality. The pine box was also built by the previous owner and icracked and a bit wonky.
As for the price, the RRP for the D4R @ Carbatec is $999 and the Leigh D4R VRS Accessory Kit - VRS + 2411-8 Bit Set is $459. Please note that there are 17 bits in my set. I normally go by 60% of the new price as a general rule of thumb if the item is in VGC condition which this example is. But in this case, I'm willing to accept $700 not including postage (pick up from Robertson or my office in the CBD). That's less than 50%. I think that's a fair price.
If you or anyone else is interested and wanting to inspect the kit, send me a PM to make arrangements.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Bueller,
I'm not sure what the forum rules are for "wanted to buy threads" but unfortunately aarggh has already expressed interest via PM pending confirmation of postage costs to Vic. I have to confirm dimension of the box when I get home but OzPost's calculator quoted $75 but that's with a weight limit of 22kg.
So who has "first dibs" if the OP is willing to pay my asking price?
Cheers,
Mike

Well it's OP's thread, I don't think it's fair for others to be jumping on the items they're looking for before they've had a chance. Bit rough.
Typically PM is just used for exchanging address and payment details, people should be placing comments in the thread to register interest as per forum rules.

Just to clarify things, there was no negotiations regarding the asking price and aarggh hasn't confirmed that he will definitely take it because I'm unable to give an actual postage price until I get home and measure the box and find a way to guesstimate the actual weight (I don't own a scale). There's a real possibility that the package exceed OzPost's 22kg limit. My line about sending me a PM me was if someone (particularly the OP) wanted to inspect the jig before committing to buy it. I've had a look at the rules and I'm still unsure who has 1st dibs when it comes to "wanted to buy" threads. What you're saying might fall under etiquette instead of an actual rule. I may have to get a ruling from an administrator.

Totally fair. Might actually pay to have the mods clear it up for future reference.

OK, hopefully I don't anyone off with this decision, but factoring it that the sale wasn't finallised with aarggh, and this is tomartomau's WTB thread, and he did after all post the first "I'll take it", my decision is to sell it him. If it falls through, then I'm not sure who's 1st backup between aarggh and bueller. Hopefully I won't have to cross that bridge....
Apologies if this upsets anyone.
Cheers,
Mike
