    Default Rob Cosman Wood-Hinge set

Looking for the Rob Cosman Wood-Hinge set in Metric if anyone might have it just gathering dust. Or at least the 8mm or 10mm single kit too. That would at least give me a chance to try it out.

I'm just hoping that some of you might have purchased it and given up on the 'very precise and complex' procedure, but i'd like to give it a go, but choking on the US price new plus shipping.

What are people’s feelings about someone like me making these and selling them here on the forum?

After all, it doesn't look like something patentable. It's just a drill bit holder with a collar that extends past the tip of the drill bit.

Somewhat beyond my skill set though. If I had a metal lathe I would have tried. But that would just send me deeper down the rabbit hole of machines in the shed that only get used rarely

I'd be interested too depending on price!

I would think just focus on the two sizes 8mm and 10mm. The boxes would respectively use 1/4 inch to 3/8th inch stock. In any case that would be me, maybe others would be using heavier stock.

My lathe is currently in bits getting refurbed. Once it’s back together I will make a prototype to work out prices etc. Shouldn’t be more than 1/2 of the Cosman price but we’ll see. Seems simple enough.

    Updates to come.

Watch his first video on this. In it he shows how to make the jig in wood. It seems simple enough.

    Regard from Perth
