STANLEY Plane part Chip breaker / backing plate to suit 5 1/2 plane ( or 4 1/2 , 6,7)
I have an early version of the 5 1/2 STANLEY plane. Not a collectible but a serviceable "user".
Only problem is chip-breaker is missing as is the screw. An early one to suit 2 1/4 inch blade is good but the later 2 3/8 inch one can be easily adapted.
would like to hear from you if you have one.
I am on the south side of Brisbane at Parkinson.

I'd try Stuart Minuskin (sp?) at toolexchange.com.au
If he doesn't have it, Hock tools makes one, as do Lie Nielsen and Lee Valley.
Have you tried eBay?

Hi Luke.
Thank you very much for for your suggestions. Have tried eBay, there were none that size presently on offer. Will try the other two.
Cheers
