Default W.A. tough tool rest wtb.

Looking for a 300mm tool rest for my newly acquired Tough wood lathe. Hope someone may have one they would like to sell.
Same as one in photo but longer.

Very hard to find these days, you may find it more convenient to fabricate/ or have one fabricated

Facebook marketplace. Cheap lathe but the toolrest looks like what you maybe after. For the price just get them to send the toolrest and then resell the rest.

Good better best, never let it rest, until your good is better and your better best.

I wouldn't imagine they would but that is not what I was suggesting. Pay the seller $100 for the lathe and get them to send the tool rest to you and they keep the rest to do with what they may. They got the money they wanted even if you only take a part. It will cost you that for just a tool rest and postage anyway. It doesn't have to be that particular lathe. if you look at Facebook, Gumtree, etc... there are plenty of low cost lathes often with good tool rests and chucks and more often than not good chisels. Take the parts you need and ask them to dispose the remains.

    I agree with Col.

I could make you a custom rest
    BUT
I would have to charge more than buying the used Roval lathe suggested by Col - my estimate would be 2X more.
    HOWEVER
The rest from the Roval lathe might not fit the Tough
    Sv
I would get the rest and the banjo from the Royal as it might be easier to fit the banjo than th rest
    HOWEVER
The banjo from that Roval looks a bit flimsy
    SO
Going back to using just the rest and then use an adapter or bush to suit.
The cost of a custom adapter will be a lot less than getting the whole rest made.
If you haven't got a metal working mate with a metal lathe I could make you one - for a price .

Col - Ah. OK got it. Thanks.
Bobl. - I'll make one if I have to. I've got a Hercus lathe remember 😁 but would prefer an original.
LanceC - Thanks mate. I'll keep it in mind if all else fails
