    Default Veritas Combination plane

    Hi all,

Further to my flailing here Combination plane v. Skew Rabbet planes (of the Veritas variety) I'm after a Veritas Combo Plane to allow some aspects of my box making to go to all handtools.

I'll be selling off all my machinery - pretty much all of it - as the realisation that I'll never have a studio again has finally sunk in (ugh.... reality!).

I'm super keen on kumiko, Yosegi Zaiku, boxes, scrolling (signs) and my wall displays.... so no loss there! (just the convenience of speed).

SO!!!! If anyone has a Combination that is sitting in a drawer - or has a lead - or a mate - or .... something....

    Consider selling it to me!

(If its a consolation, you will receive a minimum of 93 Good Karma points!)

    Oh no, slippery slope ahead

Can't help you with this one, but maybe there is someone out there who has one (but found it too difficult to drive) ??

Good luck on your quest, Sir Evan

Evan, I think you are dreaming Firstly, these have only been out a short while and, secondly, they are relatively easy to use. Plus, anyone who buys one probably knows what they are doing - they are a substantial purchase. Remember, the Small Plow would do the same, with the exception of dados and very wide blades. And much cheaper. Ask yourself if you plan to use it for dados. These are just as easy to do with a chisel and router plane (have you the Veritas Large Router Plane?).

    Regards from Perth

The gods must favour me at some stage!

Ive the skew rabbet plane... and a router plane.

    I'm covering all my bases

My thoughts were, that if I were to grab the small router plane in left and right, the cost would be the same for the Combination .... two in one :0
