Robert Sorby saw nuts
Hi all. I picked this up from Ebay recently and I am looking for saw nuts and medallion to complete the restoration. Anyone have any or any idea where to look?

Hi Matt. Happy Christmas. Hopefully he reads this post! I was also thinking I could grind down a donor medallion to a plain flat brass circle.

Hey MA, let me know if you don't do any good with this. I might be able to knock up a black and gold one for you after my hols.

Ok, found the link to an ad I had in the middle of the year:
I've got Saw Nuts! Brass, 5 pairs, 2 different sizes, $25 a pair

Thanks FF and Paul. FF, I assume the new nuts are gone. Not sure if it makes any difference Paul, but I am after Robert Sorby nuts not S + J. A bit more research on my behalf and it looks like they should be split nuts too. Amazingly I saw a similar saw, with rivets, advertised on "Worthpoint" for over $130.

Yes MA, I'm afraid they are. After sitting there for 6 months they got jumped on when I re-subscribed to the thread. There may be some other spare sets of them with other members – let me know if you can't get a result (I have a list of the people that purchased them from Ron Bontz)

In my post#9 I mistakenly said S & J instead of Rob't Sorby. Still the same for Sorby. If you just want saw screws and maybe a Warranted Superior medallion, I can help with that. Just let me know.
