Triton TRA 001 router
I have had this router since new. I can't remember when I bought it but it was a good while ago. I don't do a lot of routing so it has spent a fair bit of time sitting idle in the shed.
The variable speed has started playing up and was changing speeds randomly until recently it just refused to start all together. So the router is not in working order.
I rang around for servicing but found parts are not available. After searching the forum I learned the variable speed problem is a common one and parts must be obtained from the UK. I'm not a machinery pull apart kind of guy so I just bought a Makita router to replace. I thought this router may be of some use to someone for parts or someone handy might be able to get it going again.
I'm located in the Lower Blue Mountains area in NSW just west of Sydney. You can pick it up or I may be able to drop it off locally. I am willing to post but freight costs are on the taker. I have no idea how much the postage would be.
Please post in this thread if interested or if you have any questions.

Hi Peter,
I have a similar router with a couple of broken bits for which I have been searching for parts. Yours seems to have the 2 parts that I need. Not sure how to proceed from here but I would like to acquire your router if possible. I am Canberra based but with frequent trips to Western Sydney.
Regards,
Leyden

Hi Leyden, sorry for delay with this reply, I suddenly got really busy. We may be able to meet up somehow when you're out this way. PM me where abouts in Western Sydney you come to and we can organise a meeting if it's not too far away. I'd be happy if the router could be of some use rather than throwing it away.
Thanks, PeterThe time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Hi Peter,
I think I sent you a PM but social media competence is not my strong point. Let me know if the message didn’t arrive and I will do some search in the help section to see what I did wrong. Still keen if the router is still available.
Regards,
Leyden
