    I don't want to be "that guy", but the tip is honestly the best place for 1hp dust collectors; all they do is give a false sense of security

    They have use . As an motor / Fan unit connected in line to boost air flow is one thing I did with a same size unit . I connected one close to a hand held MDF massive dust producing invention . It was right down the back of my workshop and the dusty was so far away with so many junctions in between the flow was very weak . So with this thing connected it in line five foot from the dust vent to a 90 mm flex tube it sucked hard and boosted it along towards the main extractor . It worked well .
    Still not having proper dust collection in my workshop I use the same unit on my twin drum sander . 2 x 90 mm vents into 1 and it blows all sanding dust outside for the wind to take it . Not trying to push through a filter has been the key in both my uses . I’d grab it if I were closer .
