    Default Vacuum pump (no motor)

    Have a 3cfm 1/4 HP vacuum pump available if anyone wants it as spare parts, pump worked fine until the motor burnt out. Can send the pump for around $15 within Australia (pump only, would cost too much to send it with the dead motor). Pick up in Perth if anyone local wants it

    Out of interest , what is the motor problem (did it let out some some smoke?) and/or do you know why the motor failed?

    Hi Bob
    No smoke, the bearing seized and 1/2 of the windings are cooked. Definitely not a repair job, sold the rest of the vacuum gear a while ago and now just clearing all the junk out the shed

    Could this be attached to "any old motor", (or is the pump integral to the unit) . If it can be, I'll take it.

    Hi Russ
    The motor was attached (not any more) but you may be able to fix a drive system with the old motor shaft. See attached
