    Default Whitworth taps and dies

I have decided to reduce my collection so that I only have one of each rather than multiples. These were all part of my late father's collection and most are P&N.
    TAPS
    1 x 3/4, 4 x 5/8, 10 x 1/2, 3 x 7/16, 5 x 3/8, 2 x 5/16, 22 x 1/4, 11 x 3/16, 2 x 5/32
    DIES - 2 inch
    1 x 7/8, 1 x 3/4, 1 x 1/2, 2 x 3/8, 1 x 5/16, 5 x 1/4, 3 x 3/16
    1 x 1/4 UNF
    1 x 1/4 BSP
    DIES - 1 1/2 inch
    2 x 1/4
    DIE NUTS
    1 x 7/8
    5 x 5/8
    4 x 1/2
    1 x 1/2 UNF
    1 x 7/16 UNF
Will not separate beyond taps and dies.
Pick up Lavers Hill area until lockdown is over after which it can be Williamstown.
    Postage at cost

Yep, Dad certainly liked his whitworth threads. He was a fitter and turner and I can only presume that he 'brought' home the occasional tap and die hence the collection. That's after I have kept a complete set up to 1/2 inch plus a few larger ones. I am also not short of whitworth bolts! Unfortunately his whitworth spanner collection wasn't as extensive

That’s interesting I’ve just been clearing out my Fathers in law shed and junk,he too was a machinist by trade an has heaps of old taps and dies, unfortunately for me being younger, than him at 92 no metric stuff.

    Cheers Matt.
