    Default Box failure no 3

I won't bother you all with pics of where I went wrong. I've been trying to "challenge" myself and do a simple Ken W box. No success thus far.

So I went back to basics (and still didn't get it right). Thanks Ken for the drawings.

Here is what I was aiming for (and achieved for the day).

Not a box, but I did enjoy turning the weed pot.

And the pen was sent to me by Trevor J. (I sent some redgum up and I got this in the post.) Nice people here.

You should have made a little top for the 'weed pot' (which I like by the way!) and called it a box

    What wood is the box?

The little box that Ken W made (for me, well I pinched it) is Dead Finish. It's the box I've tried to replicate for the last couple of days....

The bugger didn't sign it with the "W". But I do have one signed and must build a cabinet for the pair. Turner of the Weird and Wonderful indeed.

You're too nice, Tea Lady, The pot has many defects... poor shape and the stem is way too thick. Never mind though. I'll get there (and see you Sunday).

I like the weedpot, I don't see any design flaws, don't argue with me about it.

    And it's not a weedpot - it's clearly a daffodil pot!

The Pen and the Weedpot look good, I don't think much of the box.
If I were you I would bin it.

Ken W, I've already had offers on the box that KQC wanted to bin. But it's not for sale. Be warned, though, I may break the lid and need a repair job done.

Break the lid and the base, I will fix it for you. Trust me.

Don't worry Ken. We won't tell anybody that you made it.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.
