David
Thanks for the praise
Most of the pens were showcased in this thread earlier (the cherry burl went to a charity auction). They are all gold sierras and all aussie timbers (except the claro walnut)
The two individual pens that Amos showcased are hairy oak and gidgee. From the original set I also added a huon pine, and subtracted a couple which were destined for the particular blank provider. Not a 100% sure what I sent down to Amos now.
Anyway finish for most of the pens was blo/ca. There is one (maybe two) ca and one or two shellawax.regards

Pens for the Navy
I received this email from HMAS Waarramunga via my son. Many thanks to Amos "Woodenink", David " Pasho" and Graham " Sundowner" for their support of this project. Some parts were removed for obvious reasons.
As you can see they arrived for Anzac Day and were well received

"Aaron
We have just received the pens you kindly sent to us. Thank you very much. The CO and I could not believe the amount and how good the were. Our gunnery staff will love the bullet one, however the CO being a Gunnery Officer may have his eye on it. They arrived in time for ANZAC Day so that was a very good boost for the crew.
The ship is currently patrolling in the Gulf and will be at sea for a couple of more weeks before a well deserved break alongside for the crew. Since my last email we have been to Kuwait and Pakistan for visits. The visit to Pakistan was just after the shooting of the cricketers so as you can imagine security was very high. The crew didn't really get to go anywhere due to the security restrictions but I can tell you it is a very interesting place.
Could you please pass on our thanks to Sam and the three members of the Ubeaut Woodwork forum for us. The CO will be dropping them a letter shortly.
Kind Regards,
HMAS WARRAMUNGA "

Howdy All,
I'm back in Oz, waiting at Sydney for my final connection. I got my replacement over there
salivating for the next lot of pens, after he seen the previous pens you sent over.
cheers for now
